Terms of Service

Not yet published

These terms have not been written or reviewed. Entry Dash must not launch with this page in its current state.

This page exists so the route, layout and footer links are in place. The list below is what the finished terms have to settle, based on how the product actually works.

Payments and refunds

Entry fees are paid to the event producer through Stripe. If an entry is refunded, the entry and side-pot fees are returned to the original payment method. The 3% service fee is non-refundable. Late fees are non-refundable. Whether an entry can be cancelled for a refund, and until when, is set by the event producer and shown before you pay.

What must be settled

  • Who contracts with whom. Entry Dash is a Stripe Connect marketplace: entry fees flow to the producer, and Entry Dash takes a platform fee. The competitor's contract for the event itself is with the producer.
  • Refunds and scratches. Who decides, on what timeline, and who bears the processing fee.
  • Entering on behalf of others. A user may enter a child or a client. The terms must state what authority they are asserting, since the consent log already records that assertion.
  • Payouts and tax. Payouts go to the owner profile as the tax entity, and are blocked until a W-9 is on file.
  • Subscriptions. Producer billing, the seven-day grace period, and read-only access after lapse.
  • Liability and governing law — for both US and Canadian users.
